Help us promote Iowa livestock producers by nominating them for the Gary Wergin Good Neighbor Award. Sponsored by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the Iowa Ag Radio Network, this award is given each month to a livestock producer who is simply being a good neighbor.

Secretary of Agriculture Patty Judge recognizes winners on their own farms. Bruce Gaarder, Farm Broadcaster with WHO Radio will be on hand to talk about what livestock producers are doing to care for their animals, their land and the environment.

Iowa has a rich heritage in agriculture and livestock production. With over half of the state's corn and soybeans consumed by Iowa livestock, grain farmers are major stakeholders in livestock production.

Help producers take pride in their operations and livelihood. Pork, beef, sheep, poultry and turkey producer have a good story to tell, a story that is often not told with accuracy.
