The Iowa Pork
Producers Association has been selecting an Iowa Pork Queen and
Iowa Pork Princess (runner-up) annually since 1960. The Iowa
Pork Queen and Iowa Pork Princess serve as ambassadors for the
Iowa Pork Producers Association and assist with pork promotional
and educational activities. The Queen and Princess are selected
during a competition held during the Iowa Pork Congress held
in Des Moines every January. Throughout the year, they assist
with pork activities, such as, the Iowa State Fair, World Pork
Expo, Pork Youth Conference, and consumer events throughout Iowa
and sometimes outside of the state of Iowa.
To become
the Iowa Pork Queen or Iowa Pork Princess:

Youth
must first be selected as a county pork queen by a county pork
producer group. |

Contestants
must also be seniors in high school up to age 20 by the time
of the contest. |

Register
to compete in the contest with the Iowa Pork Producers Association
