Pork Checkoff announces online Risk Management Series for pork producers

As volatility in the livestock and grain markets continue, it is becoming increasingly important for producers to effectively manage and reduce their risk.

The Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) is cooperating with the National Pork Board (NPB), the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and other state associations to offer a complimentary series of risk management webinars (online seminars) for pork producers.

The webinars will include an introductory track, beginning May 19, and an advanced track, beginning May 27. Sessions will last approximately 30-45 minutes with time allotted for questions.

If you are interested in participating in these webinars, please register by Friday, May 16, at www.cmegroup.com/porkwebinars. A schedule of the webinars and additional information can be found through this link as well.

For more information, contact Tyler Bettin at IPPA by calling (800) 372-7675, e-mail tbettin@iowapork.org, or call NPB at (800) 456-7675.
