Producers in Delaware County donated $100 worth of pork certificates to radio trivia winners during October Pork Month, as well as provided four whole hogs for drawing winners. Radio spots were run on both KMCH Radio in Manchester and KDST Radio in Dyersville that urged consumers to buy pork throughout the month.

Producers also volunteered their time to handout pork samples at the "Taste of the Midwest," an event coordinated to raise funds for educational programs at the James Kennedy Public Library in Dyersville.

In addition, producers donated $400 worth of hams to Operation Santa Claus, which provides food for less fortunate families throughout the Delaware County area. Over 125 families received these hams in holiday food baskets.
