Producers in Marshall County grilled and donated porkburgers for 4-H club members during the Madrid 4-H Camp and provided pork for two local fundraisers for cancer patients. In addition, the Marshall County Pork Producers grilled and served pork to students and teachers at area elementary schools and West Marshall School in conjunction with their agricultural lessons.

In celebration of October Pork Month, the Marshall County Pork Producers supplied promotional pork placemats to 10 area restaurants. In addition, the group supported their area newspapers and radio stations by placing October Pork Month ads in the Marshalltown Times Republican, Mid Iowa Enterprise, Iowa Farm Bureau Spokesman and on KIX 101 Radio.
