The Sioux County Pork Producers teamed up with the O'Brien County Pork Producers to provide $100 worth of pork to the participants of the Sheldon Days Celebration Barbeque Contest held during Labor Day Weekend.

The county group participated in Sioux County Farm Bureau's Third Grade Day by exhibiting a sow and litter of pigs. Pork producer members were on hand to explain pork production to the third graders and hand out pencils, pig erasers, coloring books and pig bookmarks.

During October Pork Month, the Sioux County Pork Producers worked with KSOU Radio to offer listeners a chance to win a pork prize at one of six area food retailers.
