Lance has been raising pigs since 1987 and finishes 30,000 head annually with Heuser & Heuser Hogs. He is also the manager of Hog Slat’s Humboldt location. When the Calhoun County Pork Producers renewed its activity in 2018, he helped plan and lead that effort, and has served as vice president, as well as membership/grilling board member. He has served on Iowa Pork Producers Association promotion and restaurant and food service committees. Lance also was part of the Iowa Pork Leadership Academy in 2021.
In his community, Lance is a member of the Manson Fire Department.
