Breakfast Burgers

Servings: 6


  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 6 brioche buns
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs, pan-fried to preferred doneness
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked
  • 6 tablespoons spicy mayonnaise (or chipotle mayo)
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork and ground breakfast sausage.
  2. Divide the meat into 6 portions and shape each into a patty.
  3. Heat grill to medium-high heat. Grill the burgers until the center registers 160 F and remove from the grill.
  4. Build the burgers in this order: bottom bun, burger patty, slice of cheese, pan-fried egg, avocado slices, cooked bacon, a drizzle of the spicy mayonnaise and the top bun.
  5. Enjoy warm! Makes six large burgers.

Mix it up!

  • If you like lots of spice, use hot breakfast sausage and pepper jack cheese.
  • Try serving these on toasted English muffins or bagels.
  • Add fresh spinach, sautéed onions, mushrooms or peppers for added veggies.
