Lazy Day Lasagna


  • 1 lb ground mild Italian sausage
  • 3 c marinara sauce
  • 1 25-30 oz bag frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 1/2 c shredded mozzarella cheese
  • fresh basil (for garnish, optional)
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F and spray a shallow 2 1/2 – 3 quart baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Brown the mild Italian sausage (drain if needed) and stir in the marinara sauce.
  3. Spread about 1 cup of the sauce mixture on the bottom of the pan.
  4. Layer 1/3 of the raviolis, 1 cup of the sauce and 1/2 c mozzarella cheese.
  5. Repeat two more times (total of 3 layers of ravioli), finishing with the cheese.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and edges are bubbly.
  7. Let sit for 5 minutes, garnish with basil and serve warm.
