Members of the Iowa Pork Producers Association are now being asked to vote in the annual election of region directors and nominating committee members.

The IPPA election process allows each association member to vote to elect a member of the district’s nominating committee. Nominating committee members serve three-year terms and nominate candidates for positions including district and region directors to serve on the IPPA Board of Directors. Members also have the opportunity this year to vote for the region director who will serve a two-year term. Eight district directors represent you on the IPPA Board, along with four region directors.

There are six candidates vying for the four regional director positions, with two candidates in each of the northwest and southwest regions. There is one candidate for each of the district nominating committee positions.

Ballots and candidate biographies have been mailed to members in each of the eight IPPA districts. Members are asked to complete their ballots and return to IPPA by Dec. 1, 2014.
