Lazy Day Lasagna
This recipe is ideal for a weeknight meal – easy, flavorful and kid-friendly! Pair with a salad and breadsticks and dinner is served!
- 1 lb ground mild Italian sausage
- 3 c marinara sauce
- 1 25-30 oz bag frozen cheese ravioli
- 1 1/2 c shredded mozzarella cheese
- fresh basil (for garnish, optional)
Preheat the oven to 400°F and spray a shallow 2 1/2 – 3 quart baking dish with cooking spray.
Brown the mild Italian sausage (drain if needed) and stir in the marinara sauce.
Spread about 1 cup of the sauce mixture on the bottom of the pan.
Layer 1/3 of the raviolis, 1 cup of the sauce and 1/2 c mozzarella cheese.
Repeat two more times (total of 3 layers of ravioli), finishing with the cheese.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and edges are bubbly.
Let sit for 5 minutes, garnish with basil and serve warm.
