Sausage Stuffing

Ingredients

  • ½ c salted butter
  • 1 c diced apple
  • 1 c diced celery
  • 1 c diced onion
  • 1 lb ground pork sausage
  • 8 c bread cubes
  • 1 egg
  • 2 ½ c chicken broth
  • ¼ c fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp ground sage
  • 1 tsp thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter on medium-high heat. Add apples, celery, and onion. Sauté until tender, about 6 minutes. Remove to a bowl.
  3. In the same pan, add the sausage and brown until done.
  4. Combine all ingredients and pour into a greased 9x13” baking dish. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes.
  5. Top with additional fresh parsley, if desired.
