
Sausage Stuffing
Ingredients:
- ½ c salted butter
- 1 c diced apple
- 1 c diced celery
- 1 c diced onion
- 1 lb ground pork sausage
- 8 c bread cubes
- 1 egg
- 2 ½ c chicken broth
- ¼ c fresh parsley
- 1 tsp ground sage
- 1 tsp thyme leaves
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a skillet, melt butter on medium high heat. Add apples, celery and onion. Sauté until tender, about 6 minutes. Remove to a bowl.
- In the same pan, add the sausage and brown until done.
- Combine all ingredients and pour into a greased 9×13” baking dish. Bake for 60-65 minutes.
- Top with additional fresh parsley, if desired.
