Sausage Tortellini Soup

This flavorful soup is a cinch to put together and the perfect way to warm up on a chilly day!

  • 1 lb ground Italian sausage
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes with basil & herbs
  • 32 oz chicken broth
  • 10 oz bag refrigerated cheese-filled tortellini
  • 3 c fresh spinach
  • 2/3 c heavy cream
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  1. Brown the Italian sausage.

  2. Stir in the onion powder, garlic powder, tomatoes with its juices and chicken broth.

  3. Bring the mixture to a boil.

  4. Stir in the tortellini and let boil for 5 minutes.

  5. Stir in the spinach and heavy cream.

  6. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
